“Oh, Great Spirit, keep me from ever judging a man until I've walked in his moccasins.”——Jane Elliott
We can never judge a person whether he or she is good or not only by appearance or first impression. In Elliott's impressive class, she taught all children this reason. Good personality depends on people's internal factors,no matter what color of his or her skin(eyes)are and whether the person is good looking or not. However, discrimination is still exist in today's society. In my opinion, for few Western countries, the discrimination depends on different races or colors. And for Eastern countries, the causes are wealth and status. This action is unreasonable, I hope the same course like Jane Elliott's can be used in all of the elementary school.
People with high self-esteem who are secure in their values and their own self worth, feel no need to disparage others in order to validate themselves. Although they may be judgmental when it comes to moral or religious values, they tend to judge people on their behavior or their character, not by the color of their skin or what country they are from.
